CHOO CHOO!

Nathan has been slightly obsessed with trains lately. He loves to see them pass by, hear them blow their horn, ride on them and play with them. When he woke up from his nap yesterday and found this - he was stunned. It was the biggest and baddest train table he had ever seen. So many engines, so many tracks and so much FUN! He played with this for almost three hours and went to bed really late. Yay for trains!!!

Can you tell who assembled this? That Tecate beer can did not come with the set.

Nathan insisted on eating dinner with Stanley and Engine No. 4. It was the only way we could get him to stop playing and eat dinner.

Nathan yelled "SLEEP...TRAIN!!" when it was time to go to bed. So, once again, we let him bring Engine No. 4 along. Here's how I found him a little while later.

Sunday Afternoon

Nathan and daddy headed down to the beach for a late afternoon surf session. There wasn't actually any surfing involved, but Nathan sure was dressed for it!

Can't go to the beach without flip flops on...

Gotta look good for the girls. A quick brush of the hair before leaving...

Best Friends Forever

Nathan had a fab dinner date with his bestest Mia last night. They dined on chips, hot dog, grilled cheese and brownies. After dinner, they made their way outside where they spent time together running around like crazy. Mia wrapped up the date with an "I love you" and kisses were exchanged. I heard Nathan saying "Mia" on the baby monitor last night. And he was still talking about her this morning. Best Friends Forever!!

New Toys!

It was supposed to be a quick trip to the toy store...for a new tricycle. One with pedals. We got the tricycle, but somehow this ended up in the car too...

Nathan really likes his new "toy". He quickly mastered climbing up the rope, rock wall, ladder and zipping down the slide.

Oh, and, yep...he liked the trike too!

Wow.

Wow. I really had no idea that something like this existed. Thanks to Grandma, Nathan now has a pair of shoes unlike anything I've ever seen. Flames, fire trucks, lights on the bottom, lights on the top...and very RED. They don't match anything, they're clunky, flashy and blink like crazy. It's his shoe of choice these days and he wears them just about everywhere. Nathan LOVES his new shoes!
